New Years is the weirdest thing. It’s all like “Quick, our random system of time-keeping dictates that you contemplate your life choices for the next 365 days right now.” And then everyone just goes right ahead and starts their precious new year of fresh starts and chances with a horrible hangover. Who ever thought that up? To me it’s also that one holiday that I’ve given up planning for much, I find that if you do, you mostly end up disappointed. So I didn’t and started of the new year pretty low key, watching the fireworks over Stockholm at a viewpoint near Slussen and counting down in Swedish, because I now can.
Fashion-wise, I’m starting the new year in new culottes much like the last and while his was not my exact new year’s outfit, it comes pretty close. I’m still all about midi-lengths and layers upon layers. Hell, I even layer my outerwear, since I found out I could fit my bomber jacket under my black coat. Take that, Scandinavian winter!
You can also head over to my friend Suze Cato’s brand new blog, to see how she deals with the northern cold.
